Keeping Behavioral Data
The importance of keeping behavioral data cannot be overstated. In the same way that you can't make accurate instructional decisions without assessments, you can't make decisions on behavioral interventions without a record of trends either. The tool below is one of the more useful ones that I've found, but it needs to be emphasized that this is not a tool that you can use on every kid in your classroom because it's way too time intensive. This tool is for the one or two kids who really, REALLY need help regulating their behavior. The audio clip on the right will detail how to use the tool below. It also can be useful to look over the recorded data and see what patterns jump out at you. Can you identify which subjects this individual is struggling with, and do any interventions leap to mind? If you feel like this would be a useful tool for you, you can grab a copy over on the Contact page. |
